Through its waste-collection arm, Killarney Waste Disposal (KWD), KWD Group is acquiring Bord na Móna Recycling (BnM) — one of Ireland’s largest waste collectors and formerly part of a semi-state organisation. The combination is highly complementary, adding a large customer base with minimal territorial overlap and extending the group’s reach into a nationwide platform with broader coverage and stronger service capability.

Together, the two businesses form a stronger platform with enhanced operational capacity and a clear focus on driving sustainability — enabling greater investment in recycling efficiency and accelerating Ireland’s transition toward a circular economy.

P Capital Partners has a long-standing relationship with KWD Group, having provided financing in 2021 to its subsidiary Limerick Polymers Production (LPP) through the PCP Transition Partner Fund. This new financing supports the acquisition and integration of BnM, enabling the creation of a national waste-management leader positioned to drive the next stage of Ireland’s circular transition.
