Transforming the care landscape with Hera
2026.02.03

Where would you choose to spend your later years? For an increasing number of us, home-based care is the clear preference. But Europe’s ageing demographics mean demand for outpatient care completely outstrips today’s supply – to the extent that you could build a new care home in Germany every day for fifteen years and still be unable to serve the country’s outpatient needs.
It’s a problem our new investment, Hera Residenzen, is determined to solve.
Founded in 2019, the Leipzig-based buy-and-build platform has grown to an integrated network of more than 30 care provider combining outpatient care, day care and assisted living.
By stepping bravely into the supply-demand gap, Hera is rapidly emerging as a critical solution provider in one of Germany’s most underserved healthcare segments. Their innovation and commitment to quality of care is transforming a fragmented landscape into a co-ordinated, professional system that can better meet the needs of ageing societies.
Our new partnership will enable the Hera team to significantly expand its care group and bring positive, later-life-enhancing experiences to more people.
“Supporting Hera and its founder in their continued expansion is an opportunity for meaningful, necessary societal change” says Petra Elväng, Managing Director at P Capital Partners.
“We are delighted to partner with PCP as we enter the next phase of Hera’s development. Throughout our collaboration, PCP has demonstrated integrity, professionalism and a genuinely cooperative spirit. Their support enables us to significantly expand our care group and to serve even more people in need of care, offering them a pleasant and as self-determined as possible living experience during their later years. At the same time, this growth will further strengthen Hera as an attractive and reliable employer for our dedicated staff.” Says Andreas Mildner, Managing Partner at Hera.
