PCP support fundraise walk for Prostate Cancer UK
Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer.
Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
“Every HOUR one man dies from Prostate cancer in England. The importance of the work carried out by Prostate Cancer UK was highlighted to me when our Club Captain at Sundridge Park Golf Club chose to support this fabulous charity. Together with 16 other volunteers, I decided to join his efforts to take on the Thames Bridges Trek challenge to walk 25 km across 16 London bridges to raise funds for this very worthy cause. For me it will be a good challenge to walk 25 km after my double cheilectomy on my big toes in September 2018. Unfortunately, the walk was cancelled last year due to the pandemic which meant all charities lost out on their main source of income to carry out their much needed research. This has made us even more determined to meet this challenge this year and hope that you can support us meet our target and help support the Prostate Cancer UK” – Rolf Nuijens
