PCP has provided ESG-linked debt financing to Kry International AB, Europe’s market leader in digi-physical healthcare services, as part of their €160m fundraise.
The ESG-linked facility has been closed in conjunction with Kry’s raise of convertible debt and will support the company in its expansion of healthcare services across Europe over the coming years, both organically and via acquisitive growth.
Kry was co-founded in 2014 by its CEO Johannes Schildt, and has become a market leader by enabling patients to access quality healthcare, quickly and efficiently. Working in partnership with healthcare professionals, governments and partners across Europe, Kry improves patient access to both primary and specialist care via its technology and physical care centres.
Digi-physical primary healthcare solutions have seen significant growth in the past 5 years as they solve a key societal problem – accessibility to care. Healthcare systems are currently under transformation across Europe, resulting from changing demographics and public financing requirements. To ensure that patients continue to receive high quality and efficient care, the maturing digi-physical primary care providers now have the opportunity to be significant partners within the overall healthcare systems.
David Ullenius, Managing Director at PCP says “we highly appreciate Kry’s focus on increasing access to primary care across Europe through both digital and in-person services. In our evaluation process, Kry’s management team, supported by a very strong organisation of healthcare and technology professionals, have made a strong impression on us with their societal and financial targets. PCP’s funding partnership will support Kry in their ambition to create value for the wider healthcare system and to develop their position as an economically and socially sustainable care provider and partner to the public sector.
Johannes Schildt, CEO and Co-founder of Kry says “PCP’s funding will allow us to help millions of patients access the healthcare they need. We believe we can drive efficiency and better patient outcomes across healthcare systems, at scale – and it’s fantastic PCP shares this ambition too. Our next phase will see us expand our specialist care offering into areas such as mental health, chronic disease and women’s health. Ultimately, access to high-quality healthcare has never been more important or urgent – we’re committed to delivering on our vision of great healthcare for everyone.
